We are currently looking to hire an operations assistant for our Calgary boutique. The Operations Assistant has to effectively perform administrative and back of house duties in support of a variety of assigned functions required for the Boutique and the Head Office, while maintaining the CHANEL standards of excellent customer service, product knowledge and care, personal presentation and teamwork at all times.

Brief overview of the main responsabilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of mini inventories and bi-annual boutique inventories

  • Assist with the preparation as well as attending regular events including special events, promotions, stock taking etc.

  • Establish and maintain sufficient knowledge of current merchandising guidelines as well as the ability to maintain set standards at all times

  • Check the quality of products at the point of sale, ensuring that each product has the correct ticket and that products are boxed and/or wrapped following the appropriate guidelines

  • Ensuring Cash and Wrap stations are prepared and stocked

  • Providing cashier services on weekends and/or as needed throughout peak volume periods

  • Prepare packaging and assist with gift wrapping parcels as needed

  • Assisting to receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence

  • Assisting with accurate receipt of deliveries, ensuring that incoming and outgoing goods correspond with the appropriate documentation as well as maintaining the computerized inventory system accurately and advising of any discrepancies.

  • Assisting to insure that all new inventory receipts are floor ready within 24 hours of receipt.

  • Assisting to arrange for return and transfers of stock as requested, communicating with colleagues and recipients as necessary

  • Ensures all stock is organized, ticketed, handled, and stored to prevent damage to merchandise

  • Assists sales team in transferring stock from BOH to sales floor

  • Prompt handling of telephone calls in a pleasant and professional manner, providing relevant information and taking accurate messages or/and direct telephone calls.


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following background:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position (essential)
  • Experience in the luxury retail industry
  • Strong computer skills
  • Organized, structured and capable of prioritizing the workload
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
